Game The R.E.D. Album Hits Number One


Jay-Z and Kanye West have been dethroned. After seven days, Game’s fourth LP, The R.E.D. Album has moved 97,879 copies, giving him his third number one album. The project ousted Watch The Throne by just 3,301 units. Congrats, Chuck. Here’s what he said via a statement:

“It feels amazing to be back on top,” exclaims Game. “My fans are incredibly loyal.  I was able to step away from music for some much needed personal time with my family.  And now that I’ve returned with a new album, they’ve come out strong to support me.  I wouldn’t be where I am today without my fans.  Period.”

T.I. Released From Prison.


Despite his lawyer calling an MTV report abouthis release from prison "false," T.I. is was releasef from Forrest City Correctional Facility in Georgia early Wednesday morning (August 31), after serving 10 months before bars.
According to TMZ, the rapper (real name: Clifford Harris) left Forrest City Correctional Facility at 7:29 a.m. local time, and is "in transit" to serve the remainder of his time in a halfway house.
The rapper tweeted his excited shortly after his release, saying "the storm is over."
"Feels great to be back where I belong...Back in the arms of those who need me the most," TIP wrote (@TIP). "The storm is over & da sun back out. IT'S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!"
TIP was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in Los Angeles last September, which violated terms of his probation stemming from a federal gun conviction back in 2009.
He checked into prison on November 1 and was originally scheduled to be released in late September.
In addition to his release, T.I. is also making sure everyone knows it's back to business as usual. Hours after his release, VH1 announced plans for a new show documenting the rapper as he re-adjusts to life as a free man.
It will be a 10-episode series, running a half-hour each show, and will premiere December 5th at 10 p.m., during which VH1 cameras will give viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at TIP's most private and personal moments -- including reuniting with his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle and his kids.
